Alpha Stella Productions was born from the shared desire to redefine the way stories and characters are told about women, people of color and those living with disabilities. We are producers, actors, writers, and directors looking to bring awareness to the individual and social realities of peoples’ lives that are often overlooked in mainstream media.
ASP has the drive and ambition to create projects that will entertain, educate, and inspire.

FOUNDER/OWNER, CHAUNCEY JOHNSON
As an actor, who has appeared on the NBC television show “Shades of Blue” and Hulu's “Wu Tang: An American Saga.” Chauncey started out writing sketch comedy and short films.
His first project, “Hope is Not Dream” was a short based on his own life experiences with overcoming the struggles of his disability. Which was followed up by trendy political satire sketch “CAWG Sketch.” which Johnson also wrote and directed.
Chauncey’s most recent project is his award winning short film “And Then There Was Damien” in which he won the “Award of Recognition” at The IndieFEST Film Awards.
When he’s not creating his own work or acting in others, you can find him training in martial arts or debating movies and TV shows with friends.
CO-OWNER KATHERINE MARIE
As a William Esper Studio grad, Katherine Marie has been fortunate enough to produce and act in several projects, such as the award winning short “The Talk”, as well as making her own writing and directing debut with shorts “Purrdicament”, “A Growing Boy”, and “Ambitious Desires”.
This foodie and real estate enthusiast has also co-starred in the Emmy award winning tv show “Blue Bloods” and is a national commercial, print and hand model. Her greatest success to date has been raising her amazingly talented children.
When not on set, you can find her cooking, swimming, and fulfilling her passion for traveling.
